At Greater Toronto Baptist Church (GTBC), our heart beats for missions — to make Christ known from our local communities to the uttermost parts of the world. Through God’s grace, we are committed to spreading the gospel, strengthening His servants, and supporting ministries that reach souls for Christ.
Building the House of the Lord in Tiniguiban, Quezon
Through God’s grace, we are planting a church in Tiniguiban, creating a spiritual home where lives are transformed, believers are equipped, and the Gospel reaches every heart in the community.
Gospel Tract Printing Hubs
Our vision is to reach the entire nation of the Philippines with the gospel of Jesus Christ. GTBC partners with local Filipino churches to create and distribute personalized gospel tracts in various dialects, ensuring that every person can hear the good news in their own language. As of December 31, 2023, we have established three main printing stations in Panay, Cagayan, and CALABARZON, providing over 92,000 gospel tracts to 144 churches. Today, we rejoice in having 11 operational printing hubs strategically located across the Philippines — in Regions 2, 3, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, the Bicol Region, the Negros Region, MIMAROPA, and CALABARZON — continuing to supply churches with the resources they need to share the message of salvation.
Lunch-for-a-Cause Events
Our missions team is hosting Lunch-for-a-Cause twice a month to raise funds for the maintenance and operation of our gospel tract printing hubs across the Philippines. By enjoying a meal together, participants are directly contributing to equipping local churches with the resources they need to share the Gospel in multiple dialects, helping us reach more people with the message of Jesus Christ.
Adopt a Pastor
Each year, GTBC extends care and encouragement to faithful pastors serving in remote areas of the Philippines. Through the Adopt a Pastor program, we send boxes of essential supplies to help meet their physical needs and strengthen their faith as they labor for the Lord. In 2024, we were blessed to adopt 23 pastors and their families, reminding them that they are not alone in the work of the ministry.
String for the King
"String for the King" is a new initiative dedicated to empowering young Christians who desire to serve God through music. GTBC provides stringed instruments — beginning with violins — to aspiring musicians from independent Baptist churches. To date, 50 youths have received violins, using their talents to glorify the Lord through worship and service.
Missions Support Canada
At home, we actively support 4 missionaries who are faithfully laboring across Canada, spreading the gospel and planting churches in our own nation. Our goal is to expand this support as the Lord enables.
Missions Support Philippines
GTBC is privileged to partner with 17 missionaries serving in the Philippines, bringing the light of Christ to cities, villages, and unreached areas throughout the archipelago. We continue to pray for and pursue opportunities to support even more laborers in this harvest field.
Missions Support International
Obedient to Christ’s command to reach the uttermost parts of the earth, GTBC currently supports 15 missionaries serving in various nations around the world. Our vision extends to the 10/40 Window, where countless souls have yet to hear the gospel. We are praying for open doors and opportunities to bring the good news to these spiritually needy regions.
