TESTIMONIES
We share our testimonies to speak about the love of our heavenly Father and the grace He bestows upon us every day. These stories come from our members whose lives have been transformed by the love and mercy of our Lord. Each day, God moves in people's hearts, drawing them to Himself through His Word. Here are just a few examples of His miraculous power to change lives.

Ephesians 5:19 KJV: "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord."
Playing the piano has been my dream since grade school, and God fulfilled that dream when He saved me at the age of 23 on February 18, 1993. He instilled in me the desire and persistence to learn music on my own, with the hope of one day playing the instrument. I began playing the church organ in 1994. With my basic skills in music, I utilized various resources to teach myself and would spend hours enhancing my abilities.
Then, an unexpected opportunity arose. God called me to be a pianist for GTBC in an unconventional way. Although I felt unprepared and unequipped, I made myself available to God and placed my trust in Him. I served as the church pianist until 2015.

Matthew 19:14 (KJV) states, "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."
My ministry focuses on teaching children from preschool to middle school about the goodness of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Even when there were no students initially, God gave Pastor Romano a vision for a Sunday school ministry. Thus, the GTBC Sunday School Ministry was born. When the Pastor sought volunteers to teach Sunday school, I replied and was soon appointed as the Sunday School Superintendent.
Looking at our ministry today, it is evident that God has truly blessed us. The children's Sunday school is growing, and the children are learning from the Word of God. It brings me immense joy to see them apply God’s teachings in their lives. I am grateful for our beloved Pastor and for the dedicated teachers who love God and are committed to this ministry.
I give all glory and praise to God.

Matthew 28:19-20 (KJV): “19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
Soul winning is a command from God for every Christian (Matthew 4:19) and is essential for the church's vitality. As a leader in the GTBC Soul Winning Ministry, I am grateful to our beloved Pastor for this opportunity. It’s a blessing that God can use me, despite my unworthiness, by His grace.
Being involved in soul winning has greatly impacted my life. I was reached by the Gospel through this ministry, which led me to the right church. It brings me joy to see souls saved and growing in their faith.
While challenges in leadership are inevitable, my current focus is on becoming a more effective leader. I strive to be an example of love, passion, and confidence in sharing the Gospel with everyone. My goal is for every woman at GTBC to have the boldness and compassion to share the Gospel with a lost and dying world.
All praise and glory to God!

Ecclesiastes 9:10 states, “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.”
Thirteen years ago, our church needed someone to edit and print the Sunday programs. I volunteered during a meeting when I was just fourteen. At the time, I viewed this task as a responsibility rather than a ministry. Over the years, my perspective has changed; I now see it as a privilege to serve God and express my gratitude for His love, despite my imperfections.
This ministry hasn't been without challenges. My struggle with time management almost made me give up several times. However, God provided me with strength and reminded me that I am a work in progress (Philippians 1:6). If God hasn’t given up on me, I shouldn’t give up on myself.
Through this ministry, I have learned valuable lessons and experienced God's faithfulness through answered prayers. I've transferred many prayer requests to the praises and thanksgiving list, witnessing God's hand at work in the lives of our church members and the growth of our congregation.
I am grateful for the opportunity to serve, and I will continue this ministry as long as God is with me. I may not be perfect, but I serve a perfect God who is still guiding me. As I grow in my faith, I will strive to improve my attention to detail in the bulletin.
