STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe in the timeless truth of God’s Word and the foundational doctrines of Christianity. Our faith is grounded in the Bible, guided by the teachings of Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit. This Statement of Faith outlines what we believe about God, humanity, salvation, and the Church, providing a clear understanding of the Christian life.
📖 Scriptures
We believe that the Bible, comprised of the Old and New Testaments, is the verbally and plenarily inspired Word of God. We also believe that the King James Version is the preserved Word of God for English-speaking people. Furthermore, we hold that the Bible is inerrant and serves as the sole authority on matters of faith and practice.
- Psalm 12:6
- Psalm 119:89
- II Timothy 3:16
- II Peter 1:21
👑 Godhead
We believe in one God who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe that They are equal in every divine perfection and are carrying out distinct yet harmonious roles in the great work of redemption.
- Matthew 28:19
- John 14:7-12
- John 16:7
✝️ Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, conceived by the Holy Spirit. He is both fully God and fully man. We believe that Jesus shed His blood to atone for our sins, willingly gave His life as a ransom for everyone, was bodily raised from the dead, and ascended into Heaven. There, He now intercedes for us and will return to receive His followers.
- Matthew 1:18-21
- John 1:1-2
- Acts 1:8-11
- Colossians 1:19-20
🕊️ Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person and the third member of the Godhead. The Holy Spirit convicts individuals of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He indwells the believer at the moment of regeneration, and He fills and empowers believers for service as they yield to and surrender to His will.
- John 15:26
- John 16:7-14
- Acts 1:8
- Romans 8:9
- Ephesians 5:18
⚠️ Sin
We believe that humans, created in God's image, became sinners through their voluntary disobedience to God's Word. As a result of one man's sin, the curse of sin affected all of humanity, leading to both physical and spiritual death. Since everyone has sinned, all are in need of a Savior.
- Romans 3:23
- Romans 5:12
- Romans 5:12
- Revelation 20:14-15
🎁 Salvation
We believe that sinful humanity can only be saved by grace through faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ. His resurrection grants us the free gift of eternal life, and through the power of God, we are secure in Christ and eternally saved. The blood of Christ cleanses us from all sin—past, present, and future—and is sufficient to save anyone who believes.
- John 10:27-30
- Romans 6:23
- Ephesians 2:8-9
⛪ Church
We believe that the New Testament Church is a local, organized assembly of believers who have been scripturally baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. This church is actively engaged in fulfilling the Great Commission and observing the two ordinances: baptism and the Lord's Supper. We hold that the local church is the Body of Christ, and it was established by Jesus Christ Himself.
- Matthew 16:18-19
- Matthew 28:19-20
- I Corinthians 12:12-31
- Hebrews 10:25
💧 Baptism
We believe that baptism is one of the two ordinances entrusted to the local New Testament Church. We hold that immersion is the only scriptural method of baptism, and that salvation is its only prerequisite. Baptism is a step of obedience and serves as a public declaration that identifies the believer with Christ.
- Romans 6:1-5
- Acts 2:41
- Acts 8:36-38
🍞 Lord’s Supper
We believe that the Lord's Supper is an ordinance of the church that commemorates the death of the Lord until His return. The elements used in this practice are unleavened bread, which represents His body, and a cup of non-alcoholic grape juice, which symbolizes His blood. The Lord's Supper should be taken only by believers who have been scripturally baptized and are members of the local church, and it should be observed after careful self-examination.
- I Corinthians 11:23-32
⏳ Last Things
We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ, who will raise the dead in Christ and rapture His saints out of this world. Following this event, there will be a seven-year period of tribulation on earth. Afterward, Christ will return with His saints to establish His millennial kingdom, during which Satan will be bound. At the end of the millennium, Satan will be released for a short time, after which he will be banished forever to the Lake of Fire. The unsaved will face eternal condemnation at the Great White Throne judgment, while the saved will enjoy eternity with the Lord in Heaven.
